Danish Cinnamon Snails
Submitted by Ditte
prep time: 20 min. | cooking time: 10-15 min. | makes about 10 snails.
These are SOOO good. they're easy to make (YES you can do it too:)), and they're fantastic served with a cup of coffee or tea, or just eaten as they are. Make loads of these, and share with all your funky vegan friends.
Equipment:
A big bowl for the dough
A small bowl for the cinnamon-"butter"-mix
A fork
A rolling pin
A spatula
A knife
An oven
Baking sheeds
Your hands
A lot of hungry vegan friends

Ingredients
for the dough:
4 1/2 dl. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vanilla powder or 1 tbsp. vanilla essence
50 g. margarine (for the dough)
2 dl. soymilk (you can use vanilla or just plain)

for the filling:
200 g. margarine
200 g. raw cane sugar
about 5 tbsp. cinnamon (it's up to you how you like it..)

Directions
the dough:

take your big bowl, and mix flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla.
mix in the sold margarine with your hands, you want it to be mixed well.
Put in the soymilk, and mix until smooth and nice.
Put aside.

the filling:
in the small bown you take a fork and mix the margarine, sugar and cinnamon, until its smooth.

roll out the dough (it should be like a 1/2 centimetre), and spread the filling with a spatula. roll it, so it looks like a big sausage, and cut it in 1-2 cm pieces.

put the "snails" on a baking sheet, with the cutting sides up and down, and place your hand on it for a little pressing. do that with all of them.

put into pre-heated oven for about 10-15 minutes on 200 degrees celsius or 350 ditto fahrenheit.
