Blackened Tofu Sandwich
Submitted by Alexandra
prep time: 15 minutes | cooking time: 5 minutes | makes 4 servings
There is a restaurant by my house that used to make the most amazing blackened tofu sandwich. Then they took it off the menu!! So, I decided to recreate it and think I did a pretty good job.
Equipment:

Ingredients
This was SO good!

2lbs of extra firm tofu (press all the water out and cut into four slices)
olive oil
one vine ripe tomato
1 loaf of any vegan crusty bread
one avocado
6 tsp garlic powder
6 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
any lettuce (i used red lettuce)

Directions
Dip tofu in olive oil then coat with spice mixture. Fry in some olive oil on high heat until blackened on both sides. Top with lettuce, tomoato and sliced avocado.

Enjoy!!
