Vegan Idol

America was abuzz this past Wednesday as what appeared to be an angel flashed an ominous message across millions of TV screens: Vegans (Heart) Simon.
But who was this masked vegan? How did she get so pretty? And why were her graffiti skills so toy? Oh, wait, I wasn’t masked. Bespectacled, maybe.

American Idol Parking Lot
As everyone knows, I am an American Idol devotee. Not for the beginning part, where they are mocking the barely cognizant, but I love the Cinderella story aspect of it, even though in truth I thought Cinderella looked better in rags. In any case, I like watching the singers go from average karaoke to rock star amazing. I get chills hearing them hit notes they didn’t know they could, watching their hair go from greasy to spiked, frizzy to flat-ironed. Just the whole thing. And so getting to be in the audience was pretty much the tits for me. And I am still hyperventilating from getting my vegan sign on TV!
To top it all of, Simon winked at me and blew me two kisses! I think they got me pregnant.
So did you catch it? And does anyone know if it’s online anywheres?

Scott, that is awesome!
Jay, I meant to answer you on my other post about the portobellos - veg broth would be fine! But add an extra teaspoon of vinegar.

My daughter and I were watching. She saw you, but didn’t know it was you. And an omni co-worker saw you and asked me if I knew anything about it. She wanted to know if Simon was vegan.
Anyway, very cool.
April 25th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
So pretty!
April 25th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
That is terrific. I’ll bet Simon could be turned vegan…he’s always cooing over the puppies people bring to their auditions. He’d probably like piglets and baby chickens, too. This is the first year I haven’t watched the show, but I can’t say I don’t miss it. Way to go, Isa!

Is SIMON even VEGAN?
If not, he’s even more lame than I thought.
The most veggie related info I’ve read on Simon is that he tried some half ass and pointless vegetarian diet for a week like oprah.

I just got back home to my flat in Southeast England from a trip visiting my parents in Maryland. I must blame you for the loss of an imported Newman-O which currently resides on my monitor in gooey pieces after reading about your new baby daddy. Could you please send me 193 more packs?

I?ve only had one really rude comment. I was eating at work and some guy (whose wife was also pregnant) said ?you should be eating healthy food when you?re pregnant?. I was eating fish stir fry, no fat anywhere to be seen. Plus it was totally none of his business even if I had been eating a Big Mac. I guess he was just stupid as well as rude.
