Hmmm...I'm wondering if I didn't cook these for long enough. I made them for the first time tonight and they were OK but definitely not remarkable. I put them in for 20 minutes but I think my oven's been running a little cool. Are they supposed to be fairly crispy? I had a few crispy bits but in general they were pretty soft.

Yesterday for our Easter lunch Suzy Spoon, the Iron Deficient Chef, made your roasted brussell sprouts. My 91 year old mother, who hates vegetables, just kept eating them, the 2 year old gourmet liked them and the rest of us had to wrestle to get our share. What a brilliant recipe. Thanks from Sydney, Australia, where we are having a hot and steamy March.

I know this recipe is for fresh brussels sprouts, but I have most of a bag of frozen kicking around--do you think that would work?

There's no vegetable that I crave more than a roasted brussel sprout, except perhaps sauteed kale. I eat them first out of a dish of roasted vegetables like I used to (USED TO) eat the marshmallows first in Lucky Charms cereal.

I have also heard french fries come from Belgium...also, they put french fries on everything in Belgium! When I was there they even put them on falafel! It was kind of weird but actually really good.
