I've had a slice from Nice Slice in Providence, but I didn't find the cheese to be melted well. Being able to get it by the slice is, well, nice, though.

Al, I remember that! When I heard the place had vegan options, I couldn't believe it. Then when I found out it had turned COMPLETELY vegan, I was in heaven!

Unfortunately, there are only a select few areas in and around Boston that could actually make any money being completely vegan. :(

suzie - i love tj's! they used to have non-vegan stuff, but they had a vegan version of every single thing! i hope that happens at our non vegan places with vegan pizza. and then they can go all vegan like tj's too.

argh- last comment eaten in cyberspace! just chiming in again to say that I have gotten this to work in my oven. However, I think I cooked it a little longer and I was using a stone, if that makes any difference. I think a finer shred and thinner slice makes a difference. Same for grilled cheese.

However, I'd love to find a good homemade recipe, because it can be sort of expensive after a while. (Sadly, the Stepaniak books just didn't do it for me.)
