If you don't already own it, RUN to the bookstore to get one. And, I know what you're saying about liking a tall cake. I quadrupled the recipe to get a cake this tall and majestic. I could try to make vegan cupcakes and just pour the batter into a cake pan, but not sure if it'll work; every vegan cake I've tried either is too dry or not as 'tall' as I'd like (I like birthday cakes to be really tall and sort of majestic, if that makes sense).
