Yeah. you are not alone in your thinking. They look real nice but I would need to break apart the cupcake to get to it either with a spork or by just ripping the paper in half.

the great advantage of this style of liner is that they stand on their own. you can bake a crapload of them all at once on a cookie sheet. they are a little tougher to peel but i just tear at the rim andd they peel off just fine. the slightly smaller than an average cupcake size is also pretty appealing. but in the summer time, getting all the cupcakes done in one batch helps keep the kitchen a lot cooler!

I use these wrapper and think they're kickin because no mess is made. It's something that makes me rage when I use the cute little papers but still have to clean the muffin pan, which I HATE, it's such a pain, every little muffin indent and the water splashes back and your shirt gets a wet and you have to change and...

anyway, simple thing: make a snip or two just on the thick rim of the cup and it provides an easy tearaway, like so: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/quintanaroo/554408979/" title="Photo Sharing" rel="nofollow"></a>

I made these last weekend...but they didn't look half as pretty. Maybe it's b/c I ate half the tasty icing first, and barely had enough left to clothe the cup cakes.

I thought it was just me. I hate those wrappers, so hard to eat out of. My husband pops the whole cupcake in his mouth and then removes the wrapper with his teeth. Kind of horrifying. Plus, you lose half of the darn cake. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist. Heck, half the time I bake cupcakes without wrappers at all!
