I’m Estela, Outreach Program Coordinator for Animal Acres, a Los Angeles farmed animal sanctuary and compassionate living center directed by Farm Sanctuary co-founder Lorri Bauston. I’m contacting you (this is the only way I found! :)) to extend an invitation to speak at our Compassionate Living Festival, a fun and educational event with veggie food booths, cruelty-free product exhibitors, music, farm tours and presentations from noted movement speakers; an event to teach people about valuable resources in their community and what they can do to spread the message of compassion. A similar event, our Grand Opening celebration, drew more than 500 people last year, including special guests Daryl Hannah and Persia White (see past events at www.animalacres.org for further information). The Compassionate Living Festival is taking place Saturday, May 12, 2006 and will be held at Animal Acres Sanctuary, located 45 minutes from Los Angeles. Your participation would be an invaluable contribution to this event and help us reach more people with our message of justice for ALL. Bruce Friedrich (Vice President-International Grassroots Campaign, PETA), Dawn Karen (Founder, DawnWatch.com), Paul Shapiro (Founder and Former Campaign Director for Compassion Over Killing and Director of the Factory Farming Campaign at the HSUS) are some of the special guests for the day. Together, we will discuss ways to live out a compassionate lifestyle which helps farmed animals, our health, our society, and our world.
