When I first invented veganism back in 1989 I had no idea it would take off such as it did. Luckily, the news media is starting to catch on and have published their first ever article about veganism where they happen to interview me. Also, there’s a cupcake recipe. What will I come up with next?

I guess I will have to wake up before noon on a Saturday because I’m a panelist at the Small Press Book Fair. Can you make it? I never thought I’d be a cupcake panelist. It should be fun and, as far as panels go, I would imagine it to be fairly civilized.

This actually has nothing to do with Thanksgiving but since I couldn’t find any actual Thanksgiving cupcake news to write about I thought I could blindside you with cuteness. And it worked! This is Anouk via alana jonze.

I'm not dumb, I know when I've been outpunked (which is most of the time.) Roberto and Eve from the Freegan Kitchen prepare a spaghetti squash salad from food that they find in a dumpster. There's a blog, too. They've got everything.

I think there is some sort of blogger rulebook (it’s just in hard copy, not on the internet) that says when you start quoting Judge Judy maybe you are running out of things to say. But she’s from Brooklyn, I’m from Brooklyn - that must be a point of interest.

Thanks to everyone that came out Saturday night! I apologize for calling you stupid for not knowing the answers to my trivia questions. I get testy when people don’t know the full subtleties of Estelle Getty’s body of work and the moons of Mars.

It was so awesome to see everyone and I didn’t get time to talk to everyone I wanted to, which I guess is an indication of a good night.

Here we have Evelyn and Jimb of VeganFriendly.com enjoying cupcakes in the top secret cupcake headquarters at Freddy’s Saturday night. Don’t think that this is the last you’ll hear about Saturday night, I’m just taking it easy like Sunday evening right now.
