Boston Veg Food Fest Saturday Oct 21st

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

The speaker schedule is up!

Terry and I will be going on at 5:15, less than an hour after Peter Singer finishes his talk on his new book. That's a little bit nerve racking.

But please come out and say hi! I've posted a description of our food demo below, but also note that we'll be giving away mini-cupcakes afterwards and signing books and body parts.

“Roots and Rolls: Making the Most out of Fall and Winter Produce”
— Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero

New York City's hottest TV cooking show comes to Boston! Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero have been cooking vegan food since their teen years. Together they host the NYC cable access show The Post Punk Kitchen in Isa's tiny Brooklyn kitchen. They will share two of their exquisite recipes, “Autumn Rice Paper Rolls with Cranberry Dipping Sauce” and “Rutabaga and Brussel Sprout Curry”.

Learn the secrets to rolling perfect rice paper rolls combining unexpected seasonal ingredients with traditional Asian ones. These rolls are sure to please your guests at any holiday event. Afterwards cozy up to the fire (or the video of a yule log as the case may be) with a cozy coconut curry that highlights some of the fresh local ingredients that the Northeast has to offer.

heeb'n'vegan is an awesome blog. Can you guess what it's about? If you said being jewish and vegan then you are right! The latest post is about jews and punks. Punks that are jews. Jews that are punks. And jews and punks that are vegetarian. Fun.

Both of these are recipes for my next cookbook so you can't have the recipe. Ha!

Is anyone going to be at the Boston Veg Food Fest?
